Tot nu toe blonken Belgische kunstenaars in het feestjaar ter gelegenheid van Istanbul Europese Culturele Hoofdstad 2010 vooral uit door afwezigheid. Maar het afgelopen weekend werd die achterstand voor een stuk goedgemaakt met het project ISTANBUL /20/10/PROJE.

Eerder al was een Vlaams-Turkse tentoonstelling met werk van Johan Tahon en Ergin Inan in het prestigieuze decor van het Hagia Irene-museum in het Topkapi-paleis, en kon Benjamin Demeyere werkt tentoon stellen in Istanbul. Maar het zwaartepunt van het ISTANBUL /20/10/ PROJE ligt in de maand oktober.

For some years now, Johan Tahon has been followed by a camera team from the Belgian production company Woestijnvis. Today this resulted in a fantastic documentary that will be shown on Canvas on Sunday 19/12 at 21h30.
