The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, also known as the Hittite Museum, houses one of Turkey’s most important archaeological collections, with objects dating from the Palaeolithic Age (… to 8000 BC) to the Byzantine Period (330 AD to 1453 AD). Amongs the most fascinating pieces is the grave of the legendary king Midas.
For the first time the museum collection will be confronted with contemporary art from the Özil Collection, like Johan Tahon’s Hero.
